PIONEER VSX-832 AV RECEIVER

-

Pioneer has released its 5.1-channel VSX-832 receiver, its first model to support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X reproduction. Rated by Pioneer with a power output of 80 watts per channel with two channels driven into 8 , the VSX-832 incorporates Pioneer’s MCACC automatic sound adjustment technology and can stream via Chromecast, DTS Play-Fi, Spotify, TIDAL, Deezer, and Tune-In via dual-band Wi-Fi. FireConnect powered by Blackfire delivers wireless multi-room audio, allowing network and analog sources connected to the AV receiver to be played on optional speakers. Other features include a 384 kHz/32-bit DAC and video pass-through of Dolby Vision, HDR10, and BT.2020 via HDCP 2.2-compliant HDMI.

Pioneer’s MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System), automatically compensates for differences in speaker size, level, and distance, and equalises the frequency response to be correct for your listening room. It incorporates phase control technology to eliminate the phase-lag between main channels and the subwoofer. The VSX-832 is the first Pioneer AV receiver to support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X object-based audio reproduction through 5.1 channels. ‘ With the addition of Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers, it’s possible to experience a multi-dimensional sound field with 3.1.2-channel or 2.1.2-channel speaker layouts without need for in-ceiling speakers,’ said Shelden Walker, of Powermove Distribution, which distributes Pioneer in Australia. The VSX-832 has FireConnect technology to mirror network audio and sources connected to the AV receivers’ analog input on FireConnectcompatible wireless speakers. Music selection, speaker grouping, and control are built into Pioneer Remote7 app for Android and iDevices. Chromecast is also built-in, so you can stream music from your smartphone, tablet or laptop to your speakers and control playback from anywhere in the house using Chromecast-enabled apps. The ASM DAC inside the VSX-832 supports all digital formats, including 192 kHz/24-bit FLAC, WAV, AIFF, and ALAC along with DSD 2.8 MHz/5.6 MHz and can play Dolby TrueHD up to 192kHz/24-bit via USB input. ‘ Pioneer’s newly developed intuitive graphical user interface makes using the VSX-832 a pleasant, stress-free experience,’ said Walker, ‘ while Pioneer’s acclaimed low-distortion amplification ensures a thrilling and immersive surround-sound performance.’

Available now, the Pioneer VSX-832 retails for $999 (RRP). For further information, please contact Powermove Distribution on (08) 8338 5540 or visit the website at www.powermove.com.au
