RIVA AUDIO
Riva Audio’s new WAND (Wireless Audio Network Design) Arena and Festival multi-room wireless loudspeakers are now available in Australia, along with the company’s new Turbo X and Riva S Bluetooth loudspeakers
‘ Riva’s WAND Series of Multi-Room ‘+’ wireless speakers represent the next generation of multi-room components,’ said Grant Eveleigh of DLG International, which distributes Riva in Australia. ‘ The Riva WAND Series gives you best-in-class audio with the freedom and flexibility to listen to anything you want, however you want and wherever you want… and Wi-Fi is optional!’
Riva’s flagship WAND + model, the Riva Festival, has drivers on three sides—three actively driven bass/midrange drivers, three tweeters, and four passive radiators. Riva claims the unique driver layout can deliver stereo sound using Riva’s patented ‘Trillium’ technology, which the company says: ‘ creates three discrete channels to provide stereophonic sound in a single speaker that sounds much larger than the actual speaker size and delivers a wider frequency spectrum than any comparable product.’ The Riva Festival can be set up and controlled via the Google Home app and you can use your favourite apps to stream your audio content directly to it. ‘ The Festival can be controlled from the Riva WAND app and offers excellent connectivity, with Bluetooth, AirPlay, Wi-Fi, DLNA streaming from network shares, Chromecast, Spotify Connect and more, as well as mini-jack and optical inputs plus a USB-A slot for both charging and music playback,’ said Rikki Farr, of Riva Audio. ‘ It plays all music file formats from MP3 and WMA up to Apple Lossless, FLAC and PCM/WAV, with a high-res capability up to 24-bit/192kHz.’
