Everybody’s Talkin’ (Why!)

Led by frontman and guitarist Evan Stanley (yep, that’s Paul from KISS’ kid) The Dives’ debut EP kicks off with the energetic pop-rock blast of Make It Like The Movies.

The ‘scene’ is set with this track that recalls the best of OK Go: a high-gloss, modern production yet with speaker-rattling, Hives-like guitars clanging front and centre for the duration. The remainder of the EP doesn’t disappoint, showcasing a band that loves timeless guitar pop and has absolutely no love for messing around; every second here counts, with special attention paid to the rich harmonies, quirky hooks and a rhythm section that punches with laser-like precision.
