WIRELESS YAMAHA TURNTABLE

-

Yamaha has released a low-cost wireless turntable, the Yamaha TT-N503, that can stream to a Yamaha MusicCast device of your choice over wi-fi, or to any Bluetooth device, eliminating the need for a wired connection. ‘ The wireless MusicCast device you choose to stream to via wi-fi could be anything from a wireless speaker to an amplifier, to a sound bar in the ever-growing Yamaha MusicCast eco-system,’ said Russell Wykes, of Yamaha Music Australia, ‘ with the award-winning MusicCast eco-system also enabling multiroom operation.’ Those without MusicCast can instead operate the Yamaha TT-N503 wirelessly via AirPlay or Bluetooth, whilst for wired operation, users can elect to use the TT-N503’s inbuilt phono amplifier to connect directly to an amplifier or receiver, or bypass the phono stage to use an external phono stage.

‘ When you look back at the history of hi-fi, Yamaha features prominently, having produced numerous products that have helped to shape the way we listen to music today,’ said Wykes. ‘ We’re now looking to introduce a new generation to hi-fi and are extremely excited to be doing so with the launch of our new turntables.’ The other turntable Wykes was referring to is the Yamaha TT-N303, which is similar to the TT-N503 but lacks the wireless features. Available now, the Yamaha TT-N503 sells for $899 (RRP) and the Yamaha TT-N303 for $599 (RRP).
