1Xpression Carbon Classic

This is the sixth generation of the Pro-Ject 1 turntable initially released in 1991. It features a newly designed carbon fibre arm, a low noise AC motor and a unique platter with thermo plastic elastomers (TPE) sandwiched with aluminium alloy. The platter bearing axle is made from low tolerance chrome-plated stainless steel running on Teflon bottom in a bronze bearing housing. The turntable plinth is from low resonance MDF, which effectively is decoupled from structure-born noise by special absorber feet, which use TPE technology. The supplied cartridge is the $449 Quintet Red. Price $1,559.
