Denon AVC-X6500H AV ReCeiVeR

-

Denon’s latest 11.2-channel AV receiver has dual voice control via Siri on Apple AirPlay 2 and Amazon Alexa and is rated at 140-watts per channel. Based on Denon’s EISA award-winning flagship AVC-X8500H AV receiver, the new Denon AVC-X6500H has support for both Amazon Alexa and Apple AirPlay 2 to enable two ways of controlling it through voice commands, rather than using an app or the supplied remote. It also has Bluetooth, as well as Wi-Fi.

Apple AirPlay 2 lets you play music on your Apple device from AirPlay 2-enabled devices throughout your house, and it all stays in perfect sync. If you have more than one supported device, you can play different songs in different rooms. Further streaming versatility is made possible by the built-in HEOS network technology, which enables access to internet radio and music services such as Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, and Amazon Prime Music. The inclusion of HEOS also means it can be part of a HEOS multiroom system, allowing users to share content throughout the house to other wireless speakers. ‘ Whether using Siri and AirPlay 2 or Alexa, you can control this music using your voice,’ said Ralph Grundl, of QualiFi, which distributes Denon in Australia. ‘ Just say the song, say the room, and enjoy your favourite music. Ask Siri to skip tracks and adjust the volume simply by speaking to your iPhone or Apple Watch, or command Alexa to do the same via your Amazon Echo device. Playing music from any mobile device through your home entertainment system has never been easier.’

The Denon AVC-X6500H supports three-dimensional sound formats Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, DTS Virtual:X and Auro-3D and has full 4K compatibility, Dolby Vision, HDR (High Dynamic Range), HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma), eight HDMI inputs, ARC (Audio Return Channel), and eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel) with Denon saying it will be adding IMAX Enhanced via a firmware update. ‘ This will give consumers a new level of quality in immersive sight and sound experiences for the home,’ said Grundl, ‘ with the highest-quality, sharpest 4K HDR images and powerful, immersive sound. The IMAX Mode for the enhanced devices will be meticulously optimised to play digitally re-mastered content just as filmmakers intended.’

Available now, the Denon AVC-X6500H retails for $5,199 (RRP). For more information please contact QualiFi on 1800 242 426 or (03) 8542 1111, or visit www.denon.com.au
