BEYER BLUE BYRD II

-

German manufacturer BeyerDynamic has released its Blue Byrd II in-ear Bluetooth phones/head-set. “This new model combines the brand’s proven, high-quality sound with versatile usability for full flexibility in everyday life,” says Wayne Farran of Synchronised Technology, which distributes BeyerDynamic in Australia. “The Blue Byrd enables smooth transitions between listening to music, phone calls, work, study, or sports — anytime, anywhere.”

The Blue Byrd II uses the latest Qualcomm aptX Adaptive and AAC audio codecs, and the latest generation 5.2 Bluetooth which has a Multipoint facility that enables connection with two devices simultaneously. Additionally the microphone can reproduce the user’s own voice via the earphones using a sidetone function, thus allowing a natural conversational situation during phone calls. During those calls, Qualcomm’s 8th generation cVc circuitry will reduce background noise to enable excellent speech audibility.

The Blue Byrd is IPX4 certified against rain and moisture, has a three-button control to control calls and media and a practical flexible neckband that holds the 14-hour rated rechargeable battery which can be charged via USB-C (10 minutes for a 2-hour quick-charge, 100 minutes for a full charge).

Sound quality and settings can be managed via the BeyerDynamic ‘MIY’ app that uses test tones to tune the Blue Byrd IIs so they’re personalised to your ears alone. “The Blue Byrd IIs not only look great, but also sound great, thanks to their elegant decorative plates, which are made of anodised and diamond-cut aluminium,” said Ferran. “The neckband, made of high-quality silicone, adapts perfectly to the skin when worn and features glass-bead blasted metal at both ends. And as usual, BeyerDynamic offers many replacement parts via direct sale.”

Available now, the Beyer Blue Byrd II sells for $199 and comes standard with a hard storage case, silicone ear tips in five sizes and a USB cable.
