MOST FLEXIBLE LUMIN EVER!

-

Lumin says it designed its new Lumin P1 to sit right at the heart of your audio system because, with all the features and facilities you’d expect on a streamer, a DAC and a preamplifier combined in the one chassis, all you need to add is a pair of loudspeakers, an amplifier to drive them and the Lumin P1 will take care of the rest, thanks to its nine digital and analogue inputs which include balanced and unbalanced analogue inputs, USB digital (with support up to Native DSD512), S/PDIF and AES digital input (with support up to 192/24 with DoP) and HDMI 2.0 inputs including a 4K pass-through one with ARC support.

“For anyone looking to add a state-of-the-art streamer to their system, the new Lumin P1 is second only to the Lumin X1 in pure streaming ability thanks to its DSD512/PCM384 support, Femto Clock System, Fibre Networking, toroidal power supply and Leedh Processing,” said Alexander Maksimovic, of Audio Magic, which distributes Lumin in Australia. “And for those who want first-class TV and movie sound, there’s no need for an AV receiver if they own a Lumin P1, because you can attach HDMI sources to it directly, so all your home theatre audio will come through your main speakers.”

Audio quality is assured through the use of a completely dual mono internal design, including the use of two ES9028PRO Sabre DACs — one for each channel, Lumin’s proprietary Femto Clock System, a completely linear power supply using two toroidal transformers and the use of a Leedh Processing lossless volume controller. “You can use the new Lumin P1 as a streamer, a DAC, a pre-amplifier or all three,” said Maksimovic. “It’s Lumin’s most flexible player yet!”

Available now, the Lumin P1 sells for $14,900 (RRP).
