“We fell in love with the bones of this house straight away, but when we decided to do an extension, we needed something practical that would suit our lives. We have lots of kids and friends coming over and do plenty of entertaining. Our architect recommended MatrixTM and StriaTM cladding from James Hardie’s Scyon range which gave us the clean, dramatic lines around the back and side of the house. Our builder loved it too because it’s durable and simple to construct but nothing too precious. Every morning when I walk out the back I smile and pinch myself.”
