• 1 ball 50gm Katia Sole

• 2 balls 50gm worsted weight wool

in matching colour

NEEDLES AND TOOLS

• 4.00mm knitting needles • 7.00mm circular needle80cm

As per wool

WORKING PATTERN

Using 4.00mm needles open and stretch out the width of Sole recognizin­g the right side of the ruffle being the concave side, turn the yarn to have the wrong side facing you and insert needle into top edge of Sole. Pick up a stitch and continue to do so every 4cm of fabric until you have 81 st on your needle.

Turn; RS face of Sole, working into the back loop knit across the row leaving 4cm of Sole for each stitch. Work 1 row in garter st now working into the front of the stitch as normal.

Change to 7.00mm circular needle and worsted yarn.

Next Row: increase row *K1, yfwd*to last stitch, K1. 161st

Begin Feather and fan as follows: Row 1: Cast off 8 sts ( this will be used later to complete ruffle edge) *(K2tog) 3 times,( yfwd, k1) 5 times, yfwd,(sl 1, K1 , psso) 3 times, K1, rep from * to last 8 sts, k8.

Row 2: cast off 8sts ( this will be used later to complete ruffle edge) Knit to end 145sts

Row 3 and 4: knit.

Row 5: K1, *(K2tog) 3 times,( yfwd, k1) 5 times, yfwd,(sl 1, K1 , psso) 3 times, K1, rep from *to end.

Row 6, 7 and 8: Knit.

Repeat Rows 5 to 8, 3 times more. Cast off loosely.

Sew the extra 8 st cast off sections on each end to side of lace panel.

MAKING UP

Darn in loose ends and Block.
