TENSION
28 sts and 36 rows over Stst to 10cm on 3.25mm needles.
WORKING PATTERN BACK
With 2.75mm needles and MC, cast on 132 (144, 156, 168) sts.
Garter Stitch (knit every row) 5 rows, end with a WS row.
Change to 3.25mm needles.
Starting with a knit (RS) row, Stocking st straight until piece measures 14 (16.5, 20.5, 23)cm from beg, end with a WS row.
Next Row: RS - K1, *k2tog; rep from * to last st, k1. 67 (73, 79, 85) sts. Cast off all sts.
Bodice Back
With 3.25mm needles, RS facing and MC, pick up and k67 (73, 79, 85) sts along cast off edge.
Starting with a purl (WS) row, Stocking st until piece measures 2.5 (2.5, 3.5, 4)cm from pick up row, end with a WS row.
Shape Armholes
Cast off 3 (4, 4, 5) sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Dec 1 st at each end of next 3 rows, then every RS row to 49 (53, 59, 63) sts.**
Work straight until piece measures 6.5 (8, 9, 11)cm from pick up row, end with a WS row.
Divide for Neck Opening
Next Row: RS - K26 (28, 31, 33), turn, on these sts only.
Row 1: K3, purl to end.
Row 2: Knit.
Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 10 (11.5, 13.5, 14.5)cm from pick up row, end with a WS row.
Next Row: buttonhole RS - K to last 2 sts, yo, k2tog.
Work straight in patt until piece measures 11.5 (13, 14.5, 16)cm from pick up row, end with a WS row. Cast off 11 (12, 14, 15) sts for shoulder.
Leave rem 15 (16, 17, 18) sts on holder for back neck.
With RS facing, return to sts on hold, cast on 3 sts, rejoin yarn to sts on hold, k to end. 26 (28, 31, 33) sts.
Row 1: P to last 3 sts, k3.
Row 2: Knit.
Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 11.5 (13, 15, 15)cm from pick up row, end with a RS row.
Next Row: WS – Cast off 11 (12, 14, 15) sts for shoulder, p rem 15 (16, 17, 18) sts and slip these to holder for back neck.
FRONT
Work as for back to **.
Work straight until piece measures 7 (8, 9.5, 9.5)cm from pick up row, end with a WS row.
Shape Neck
Next Row: RS - K18 (19, 22, 23) sts, turn, on these sts only.
Dec 1 st at neck edge next 4 rows, then every RS row to 11 (12, 14, 15) sts.
Work straight until front measures same as back to shoulder, end with a WS row.
Cast off rem 11 (12, 14, 15) sts for shoulder.
With RS facing, return to sts on hold, rejoin yarn, k across next 13 (15, 15, 17) sts and slip these to holder for centre front neck, work 2nd half to match, reversing shapings.
SLEEVES
With 3.25mm needles and MC, cast on 44 (48, 50, 54) sts.
Garter Stitch 3 rows.
Next Row: RS - K, inc 15 sts evenly across row. 59 (63, 65, 69) sts.
Work straight until sleeve measures 2.5cm from beg, end with a WS row.
Shape Top
Cast off 3 (4, 4, 5) sts at beg next 2 rows.
Dec 1 st at each end of next 3 rows, every RS to 37 sts, every row 5 times. 27 sts.
Next Row: RS – K1, [k2tog] 13 times. Cast off rem 14 sts.
MAKING UP
Join shoulder seams. Sew cast on edge of left back opening in place behind right back opening.
COLLAR
Right Half
With 2.75mm needles, WSF and A, k the 15 (16, 17, 18) right back holder sts, pick up and k15 (17, 19, 19) sts evenly along right front neck edge, k the first 6 (7, 7, 8) sts of front neck holder, k the center st of front holder. 37 (41, 44, 46) sts.
Garter Stitch 3 rows.
Next Row: RS - K0 (0, 0, 1), *k4,
M1; rep from * to last 5 (5, 4, 5) sts, k5 (5, 4, 5) - 45 (50, 54, 56) sts. Garter Stitch 9 rows.
Next Row: K0 (0, 0, 1), *k5, M1; rep from * to last 10 (10, 9, 10) sts, k7 (7, 6, 7), k2tog, k1 - 51 (57,
62, 64) sts.
Next Row: Knit.

Left Half
With 2.75mm needles, WSF and A, work into the back of centre st of front holder, k the rem 6 (7, 7, 8) sts of front holder, pick up and k15 (17, 19, 19) sts evenly along left front neck edge to shoulder, k the 15 (16, 17, 18) left back holder sts – 37 (41, 44, 46) sts.
Work to match right half of collar, reversing shaping.
Sew button to left back neck edge opposite buttonhole.
Insert sleeve tops, join side and sleeve seams.
PANTS
Right Leg
**With 2.75mm needles and A, cast on 56 (58, 62, 62) sts.
Garter Stitch 5 rows, end with a WS row.
Change to 3.25mm needles.
Starting with a k row, work in Stocking st, inc 1 st at each end of 3rd (5th, 5th, 5th) and every following 6th (5th, 5th, 5th) row to 74 (80, 86, 90) sts. Work straight until piece measures 19 (21.5, 24, 25.5)cm from beg, end with a WS row.
Place markers at each end of last row.
Shape Crotch
Cast off 2 (2, 3, 3) sts at beg next 2 rows.
Next Row: RS - K1, k2tog, knit to last 3 sts, skp, k1.
Work 1 row even.
Rep last 2 rows to 64 (70, 74, 76) sts.**

Cast off all sts.
MAKING UP
Join inseams from cast on edge to markers. Join crotch seam.
Fold waistband to inside along fold lines and slip st in place, leaving an opening at centre back to insert elastic.
Cut elastic to waist measurement and thread through waistband. Sew ends of elastic together securely.
Slip st opening closed.
