22 sts by 42 rows over Fisherman’s Rib pattern on 4.00mm to 10cm

SPECIAL ABBREVIATI­ON

K1B = Knit 1 below – insert right, hand needle into centre of st one row below next st on left, hand needle, knit in the usual manner allowing st above to slip off needle.

WORKING PATTERN SKIRT (WORKED IN ONE PIECE, BEG AT HEM)

Using 4.00mm circular needle, cast on 144 (168, 192, 216, 240) sts, join to work in rounds taking care not to twist cast on edge.

Beg Hem

Round 1: * K1, P1, rep from * to end. Rep 1st round 7 times. 8 rounds 1 x 1 rib in all.

Beg Fisherman’s Rib Patt

Round 1: Purl.

Round 2: * K1B, P1, rep from * to end.

Last 2 rounds form Fisherman’s Rib Patt.

Cont in patt until Skirt measures 23 (24, 25, 26, 27) cm from beg, ending with a 2nd round.

Change to 3.75mm circular needle. Cont in patt until Skirt measures 38 (39, 40, 41, 42) cm from beg, ending with a 2nd round.

Next Round: * Sl 1, K2tog, psso, P1, (K1, P1) 2 (2, 2, 2, 3) times, rep from * to end. 108 (126, 144, 162, 192) sts.

Beg Waistband

Change to 3.25mm circular needle. Work 18 rounds 1 x 1 rib as for Hem. Cast off loosely in rib.

MAKING UP

Do not press. Sew in ends.
