DOUBLE CROCHET (DC) (US SINGLE CROCHET SC)

Insert the hook through the top two loops of a stitch. Pass the yarn over the hook and draw up a loop so that you have two loops on the hook (Diagram 1).

Pass the yarn over the hook and draw through both loops on the hook (Diagram 2). Continue in the same way, inserting the hook into each stitch (Diagram 3).
