GETTING STARTED
Note: at the beginning and end of the Azahar tape, leave 1 or 2 holes free so that ends can be fastened off later.
WORKING PATTERN
Cut 8 pieces of Azahar tape each 135cm long, after joining measurement should be 120cm.
Using Monaco baby work pattern st along edge of each piece of Azahar tape following graph A.
First work row 1 along one edge then row 2 along the other edge.
Join strips following graph B, joining the 1st strip with 2nd with straight parts of Azahar facing each other and
the 2nd strip with the 3rd with lace edging part of Azahar tape facing.
Join rem strips in the same way until all 8 strips are joined up.
Once all the strips are joined piece will measure approx 50cm.
Make a hem at beginning and end of each strip to fasten off the ends.
MAKING UP
To finish off sides after hemming.
Cut 2 pieces of Azahar each 135cm long pull on interior cord of each piece and gather until it measures 50cm. Sew each strip to side of the piece on top of the hemming. Then fold the piece in half lengthways and using Monaco baby with crochet hook, join A to A and B to B following graph B sew 30cm at each edge, leaving centre 60cm unsewn.
