TENSION
12 sts pattern repeat lightly stretched on 5.5mm needles to 7.5cm
WORKING PATTERN SHAWL
With 5.5mm needles, cast on 101 sts. Garter Stitch (k every row) 3 rows.
BEG MAIN PATTERN
ROWS 1, 3, 5 & 7: RS – K3; *yo twice, k4, s2k1psso, k4, yo twice, k1; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
ROW 2 & ALL OTHER WS ROWS: K2, p across but p only every first yo and drop every 2nd yo off needle; k2 at end of row.
ROW 9: K3; *k1, yo twice, k3, s2k1psso, k3, yo twice, k2; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
ROW 11: K3; *k2, yo twice, k2, s2k1psso, k2, yo twice, k3; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
ROW 13: K3; *k3, yo twice, k1, s2k1psso, k1, yo twice, k4; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
ROW 15: K3; *k4, yo twice, s2k1psso, yo twice, k5; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.

Patt until piece meas approx 160cm from beg (lightly stretched out widthwise), end with a row 8 of patt. Garter Stitch (k every row) 3 rows. Cast off loosely in k.
MAKING UP
Gently block shawl to measurements.
FRINGE
Cut 60cm long ends and attach 17 bundles of 6 strands along cast-on and cast-off ends of shawl (you will need 204 ends all together).
