GETTING STARTED
The scarf is worked from the centre foundation chain and crocheted down in two halves.
WORKING PATTERN
Using 5.00mm hook ch 30 foundation double crochet as follows: Start with a slip knot, ch 2, insert hook in 2nd ch from hook, yo and draw up a loop, yo and draw through one loop on hook(the chain), yo and draw through 2 loops on hook(dc). The following stitch is worked under the forward 2 loops of the stem of the previous st (into the chain)
* insert hook into the face of the ‘chain’ and under the nub at the back of the chain (under 2 strands) yo and draw up a loop, yo and draw through one loop (chain) yo, and draw through 2 loops (dc). Repeat from * for the length of foundation.
ROW 1: 2 ch, tr into next 3 dc, * 4 ch, miss 3 dc, 1 dc into next dc, 3 ch, miss 1 dc, 1 dc into next dc, 4 ch, tr in each of next 4 dc, * rep from * to end.
ROW 2: 2 ch, tr in next 3 tr, * 2 ch dc in next 4 ch sp, 1 ch, 7 tr in next 3 ch sp, 1 ch, dc in next 4 ch sp, 2 ch, 1 tr in next 4 tr, rep from * to end.
Row 3: 2 ch, tr in next 3 tr, * 1 ch, cluster in next tr, (3 ch, skip next tr, cluster in next tr) 3 times, 1 ch tr in next 4 tr rep from * to end.
ROW 4: 2 ch, tr in next 3 tr, * 2 ch, (dc in next 3 ch sp, 3 ch) 2 times, dc in next 3 ch sp 2 ch, tr in next 4 tr, rep from * to end.
