Note: Make sure not to fan the edge. The aim is to edge your garment to sit flat.
WORKING PATTERN
Make 158ch, approximately 78cm Foundation Row: miss first 2 ch. 1 tr into each ch to end- 3ch, turn.
SET UP ROW: miss first tr 1. 1 tr into next tr * 1 ch miss 2 tr. 3 tr into next tr. 1 ch miss 2 tr into next tr.
Rep from * 9 times. 1 ch miss 2 tr.
1 tr into each tr to end of row, 3 ch, turn.
PATTERN ROW: Miss first tr. 1 tr into each tr to start of 3 tr shell pattern. *1 ch 3 tr into center of 3 tr group. 1 ch, 1 tr Post Stitch front into next treble.
Rep from * to end of row.
Repeat pattern row as set until work measures approximately 34cm, ending at plain end.
FIRST ARMHOLE: Tr 42, slipstitch into next 40 tr. Tr into rest of tr sto start of Shell Pattern. 1ch. Shell Pattern to end, 3ch, turn.
NEXT ROW: Pattern to start of slps. Make 40 ch, tr into next tr to end, 3 ch, turn.
NEXT ROW: Work to start of 40 ch. 40 tr into 40 ch, work to end.
Continue as set until work measures Approx 73cm.
Make second armhole as first. Continue until same as first front. Measurements approx 34cm on both fronts, 107cm total.
LAST ROW: tr all the way across.

Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows. 62 (66, 74, 82, 90) sts.
Dec one st at each end of next row, then in every foll 4th row until 40 (44, 58, 70, 84) sts rem, then in every foll alt row until 36 sts rem.
Work 1 row. ***
SHAPE NECK EDGE OF SLEEVE
ROW 1: K2tog, knit to last 2 sts, K2tog.
ROW 2: Cast off 3 sts, purl to end.
ROW 3: As 1st row.
Rep 2nd and 3rd rows once.
ROW 6: P2tog, purl to end. 23 sts. Dec one st at raglan edge (beg) of next row, then in every foll alt row 5 times, AT SAME TIME dec one st at neck edge in every row 12 times. 5 sts.

RIGHT SLEEVE
Work as for Left Sleeve to ***.
SHAPE NECK EDGE OF SLEEVE
ROW 1: Cast off 3 sts, knit to last 2 sts, K2tog.

ROW 3: As 1st row.
ROW 4: As 2nd row.

Dec one st at neck edge in every row 12 times, AT SAME TIME dec one st at raglan edge (end) of next row, then in every foll alt row 5 times. 5 sts.
Cast off.
LEFT POCKET TOP
Slip sts from stitch-holder onto 3.25mm needle so that right side is facing for first row. Join C1.
ROW 1: Cast on one st (seam st), knit to end. 27 sts.
ROW 2: Cast on one st (seam st), P3, * K2, P2, rep from * to last st, P1. 28 sts.
ROW 3: K3, * P2, K2, rep from * to last st, K1.
ROW 4: P3, * K2, P2, rep from * to last st, P1.
Rep last 2 rows 3 times. (10 rows worked in all).
Cast off loosely in rib.
RIGHT POCKET TOP
Work as for Left Pocket Top, using C2 in place of C1.
RIGHT FRONT BAND
Join raglan seams, noting that tops of sleeves form part of neckline.
With right side facing, using 3.25mm circular needle and C1, knit up 80 sts evenly along right front edge to beg of front shaping, knit up 47 (47, 50, 52, 55) sts evenly along front slope shaping, knit up 24 sts evenly across top of right sleeve, then knit up 24 (24, 25, 27, 28) sts evenly across half of back neck to centre. 175 (175, 179, 183, 187) sts.
ROW 1: Cast on one st (seam st), P3, * K2, P2, rep from * to last st, P1. 176 (176, 180, 184, 188) sts.
ROW 2: K3, * P2, K2, rep from * to last st, K1.
ROW 3: P3, * K2, P2, rep from * to last st, P1.
ROW 4: Rib 3, * cast off 3 sts, rib 15 (incl st rem on right-hand needle after casting off), rep from * 4 more times, rib to end.
ROW 5: Rib to top buttonhole, * turn, cast on 3 sts bringing yarn to front between needles before slipping
3rd st onto left-hand needle, turn **, rib to next buttonhole, rep from * 3 times, then rep from * to ** once, rib to end. 5 buttonholes.
Work a further 4 rows rib.
Cast off loosely in rib.
LEFT FRONT BAND
With RS facing, using 3.25mm circular needle and C2, beg at centre of back neck, knit up 24
(24, 25, 27, 28) sts evenly across other half of back neck, knit up 24 sts evenly across top of left sleeve, knit up 47 (47, 50, 52, 55) sts evenly along front slope to beg of straight front edge, then knit up 80 sts evenly along straight front edge to lower edge. 175 (175, 179, 183, 187) sts.
ROW 1: P3, * K2, P2, rep from * to end.
ROW 2: Cast on one st (seam st), K3, * P2, K2, rep from * to last st, K1.
176 (176, 180, 184, 188) sts.
ROW 3: P3, * K2, P2, rep from

Work a further 5 rows rib.
Cast off loosely in rib.
MAKING UP
Do not press. Join side and sleeve seams. Sew ends of pocket tops in position. Join ends of front bands together at back neck. Slip-stitch pocket linings in position on wrong side. Sew on buttons.
