ROW 4: K1; *p1, k1; rep from * to end.
Rep last 4 rows twice more then rows 1 and 2 once more.
Cont in Stst until piece measures

SHAPE UNDERARMS
Cast off 5 sts beg next 2 rows.
Cast off 3 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5) sts beg next 2 rows.
Dec 1 st each end every RS row 2 times, then every other RS row 2 (3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4) times. 59 (65, 69, 73, 75, 79, 83) sts.
Cont straight until work measures 56 (56, 57, 57, 58, 58, 58) cm from beg, end with a WS row.
SHAPE SHOULDERS
Cast off 5 (6, 7, 8, 8, 9, 10) sts beg next 2 rows, then 6 (7, 8, 8, 9, 10, 11) sts beg next 2 rows.
Leave rem 37 (39, 39, 41, 41, 41, 41) sts on hold for Back neck.
LEFT FRONT
With 4.50mm needles, cast on 39 (43, 45, 47, 49, 51, 55) sts.
ROW 1: RS - K1; *p1, k1; rep from * to end.
ROW 2: P1; *k1, p1; rep from * to end.
ROW 3: P1; *k1, p1; rep from * to end.
ROW 4: K1; *p1, k1; rep from * to end.
Rep last 4 rows twice more then rows 1 and 2 once more.

SHAPE UNDERARM

MAKING UP
Join shoulder seams.
NECKBAND
With RS facing, using 4.50mm needles, slip the right front holder 9 sts to needle (as if they have been worked), join yarn, pick up and k12 (12, 13, 13, 14, 14, 14) sts up right front, k across the 37 (39, 39, 41, 41, 41, 41) back neck holder sts, pick up and k12 (12, 13, 13, 14, 14, 14) sts down left front neck; k the 9 left front holder sts. 79 (81, 83, 85, 87, 87, 87) sts.
Work in front edge patt over all sts for 4.5cm. Cast off loosely in patt.
BUTTONBAND
With RS facing, using 4.00mm needles, pick up and k123 (125, 125, 125, 127, 127, 127) sts along left front edge incl neckband.
NEXT ROWS: WS – P1; *k1, p1; rep from * to end.
NEXT ROWS: K1; *p1, k1; rep from
* to end.
Cont in rib until band measures 4.5cm. Cast off loosely in rib.
BUTTONHOLE BAND
With RS facing, using 4.00mm needles, pick up and k123 (125, 125, 125, 127, 127, 127) sts along right front edge incl neckband.
Rib as for buttonband for 5 rows.
NEXT ROWS: RS – Rib 5 (6, 6, 6, 7, 7, 7) sts, cast off 2 sts, [rib until 14 sts on needle after buttonhole, cast off 2 sts] 7 times, rib to end.
NEXT ROWS: Rib across and cast on 2 sts over cast-off sts of previous row. Cont in rib until same amount of rows have been worked as for buttonband. Cast off loosely in rib.
ARMHOLE BANDS
With RS facing, using 4.50mm needles, pick up and k47 (47, 49, 49, 51, 51, 51) sts up armhole edge to shoulder, 1 st at shoulder seam, and 47 (47, 49, 49, 51, 51, 51) sts down armhole edge. 95 (95, 99, 99, 103, 103, 103) sts.
K1, p1 rib for 4 rows.
Change to 4mm needles.
Rib further 5 rows. Cast off loosely in rib.
Repeat for 2nd armhole.
Join side seams and armhole bands. Sew on buttons.
