TEAM SHUFFLINGS

-

The end of 2017 brings the end of one of the most dominant crosscountry and marathon teams in Australia, the Trek-Shimano Team. This team, run by Peter Dowse, took riders to race wins and podium places in almost all of the biggest mountain bike events in Australia. In 2018 many of the talented riders from the squad will carry on under different banners.

Three-time National Marathon Champion, Crocodile Trophy, Port to Port and Cape to Cape winner (amongst most other marathon races too) Brendan Johnston will now be racing for Giant, and equipped with Shimano XTR, thanks to continuing support from Shimano Australia.

Another Canberra local, Em Viotto, will also stay on with support from Shimano Australia, and be racing aboard a Giant with support from Pushys.

In the west, the talented brother and sister, Reece and Sarah Tucknott have created a team with excellent local and national support.

“John Carney from Wembley Cycles has been one of our biggest supporters during our cycling career and it is an honour to be back aboard Specialized and his product in 2018,” said Reece. “We’re also fortunate enough to continue our great relationship with Shimano into 2018; generous enough to be supplying all running gear, spare parts as well as Pro Bike Gear touch points, Shimano will make 2018 a fast, reliable and smooth ride!”

The Tucknotts’ calendar includes the National Series and an overseas campaign in North America.
