GROUND EFFECT GEAR

Ground Effect are an AMB office favourite, and the new Hydroslides and Neopolitan combination looks like that will continue. While the Neopolitan sees a new colour for the popular ¾ sleeve trail top, the Hyrdoslides are all-new. These shorts combine a high strength front with a waterproof back, over the knee length and sealed seams these should be a go-to for any rides in suboptimal conditions!

BRILLIANT REFLECTIVE

Whether you’re out before dawn, busting night rides or just crawling home after a post-work trail session, being seen when getting to and from the trails is important. Brilliant Reflective use a 3M Scotchlite Reflective material that can be ironed on or stuck on clothing or equipment, including colour matched options so you barely see it in the daytime. Lazer have found a new home with Shimano, and while we’ve loved their lightweight Z1, the Blade (top) is a good value XC helmet while the Roller (bottom) has a visor and some extended coverage, suiting trail riding. We hear Lazer are expanding their range with some more trail and enduro helmets to come. Based on the quality of what’s on the market we’re keen to see what pops up.

AMPLIFI SALVO POLYMER KNEE GUARDS

Comfort, low weight and protection? Yes, all three are possible in a knee guard with the Amplifi Salvo. With 5 different materials used for formfitting function, the soft cell protection withstands repeated hits and has a CE certification. These should be spot on for Australian conditions, and all-day comfort.
