ONCE called the Trans Germany and crossing from ‘West to East’ over a week, this classic ‘Euro’ stage race moved to the Alps, shrunk to four days and was a virtual mini Transalp, with lots of climbing, fast trails, and increasingly technical terrain.

Swiss phenom Christophe Sauser has put his name against the title for the past few years, showcasing not only his climbing prowess but his descending ability honed from countless hours spent on the small hiking trails in the high Swiss Alps. The 2014 edition has attracted sponsorship from the Protective clothing brand, and the Protective Bike 4 Peaks will take place from 4-7 June between Leogang and Kaprun.
