As you climb into the mountains from Vancouver to Whistler on Canada’s West Coast, it becomes more and more evident that this place is straight out of a mountain biker’s dream. The tall, still snow-capped mountains line the Sea to Sky Highway as we approach the small town of Whistler, where summer turns every single peak in the town to a must-ride destination. Danni Beecroft and I escaped the hustle and bustle of Crankworx Whistler to the Garbanzo zone of Whistler Bike Park, on a hunt for insane views and near-vertical rock slabs high above the village.
