KRUSH DETAILING TIPS

-

So what are the #protips to keep your bike running well, for longer?

DEGREASE “The first thing is your drivetrain, it’s your priority. Degrease your chain with a detailing brush and a good degreaser. Wipe it down with a rag and re-lube.”

LUBRICATE “I use Rock N Roll Gold. It says to apply and leave it for 5 minutes and wipe off the excess. I just lather it on and ride and it works really well. I’m always cleaning it after the ride or soon after.”

WASH AND AFTER-WASH “I always love to wash, then use an after-wash silicone based spray. It keeps the bike looking mint. It repels moisture, and forces water out of pivot points.”

INSPECT “A key point to detailing your bike is inspecting your bike for any damage. That is when you are going to see things you may not see. Loose bolts, or loose pivot bolts, fractures, tyre wear or damage.”

DON’T FORGET YOUR BRAKES “Our brake cleaner is solvent based. Spray it on, and it flashes all the dirt off your rotor and pads and it evaporates off. If you clean your pads and rotors regularly they work better and last longer.”

WHAT RAGS DO I NEED? “Four rags is a must. You can’t use contaminated rags! One for the drivetrain, one for frame washing, one for frame cleaning, and one for the brakes.”
