Mike Ceveri Ford Sierra-Chev

-

It was a sign of the times in the early ‘90s that you could get just as much grunt out of a turbo 2-litre four as you could from a big V8. So why ditch that magnificent little 2-litre Cosworth turbo engine in the RS500 for a 6-litre Chev? Simple: the V8 was cheaper, more reliable, and its 400kW did not come with turbo lag. So it was that one of the old OXO Supercube Group A Sierras formed the basis of Mike Ceveri’s very successful – and magnificent looking, with those fat guards – Sierra Sports Sedan.
