Difficult debut

Australian Muscle Car - - Goss Special -

The JGS prototype made its public debut in, of all places, an auction house. According to Goss, the original owner took the decision to part with the project. The prototype was offered for sale by Lloyds Auctions at the end of last year, where it was presented dressed in ‘period’ Goss Racing livery. The car’s appearance at auction led to widespread public misconception in social media over its historical identity. Goss regrets the confusion created, and points out that presenting it almost as if it was his 1975 Bathurst car was not his idea. “I did not want it to have commercial livery. It’s a car that did not exist at the time but it’s the car we would have built. So it should have been presented as an unmarked prototype.”
