McLaughlin Falcon FG-X – 2018 ATCC

Any championship win is a major achievement, and certainly Scott McLaughlin had to earn his ATCC. Off the back of seeing the crown slip literally from his grasp in the dying laps of the 2017 Newcastle 500, the Kiwi regrouped for a return attack in ’18. Where the previous year he had Whincup to deal with, this time it was Shane van Gisbergen who applied the pressure. But McLaughlin stood rm, the challenge from the Triple Eight Holden driver in the end petering out in the nal race. Through both seasons he was served by the one Falcon FG-X, chassis DJRTP04.
