Issue #107 was another great read and the spread about the

A9X is what most of us readers of your publication dream of. For what it’s worth, I thought I would express my views on a potential colour scheme of this incredible machine.

Firstly, to the

Macedons, well done: you are in the incredible position of restoring a piece of Australian motor racing history.

What an honour.

I am a Torana nut anyway, but to me originality is the key.You have a very rare bodyshell that was walked down the production line with the full intent that this baby was going racing. And making this baby stand out that bit more than its 32 rolling chassis cousins is its unique colour, Flamenco Red.

For my money, you can’t go past that piece of nostalgia. That little piece of history would be lost if any of the other war paints are applied. But Flamenco Red... wow, it is the skin that the factory applied, coming out of that Holden facility and being rolled onto a trailer. Incredible! I wish there was a picture of that very event. Sure, re t all the Group C race bits that are unbelievably still with the car, that goes without saying. You could even road register it, wouldn’t that be something!

Yep, that’s my choice, Flamenco Red. Anyway fellows, have fun with this project and all the best with it.
