News & New Products
There’s no stopping the mirrorless takeover of the interchangeable lens camera business, and once again Sony is upping the ante with its new 62.5 megapixels A7R IV. Sony has also added new lenses to its FE mount system (which now numbers 33), and there are new mirrorless lenses from both Nikon and Fujifilm. Hasselblad’s muchawaited upgrade to its X1D medium format mirrorless camera is here, and it’s a beauty, but there’s also a new 50 MP capture back too. A Leica M digital rangefinder camera now may well be within your budget with the new and keenly-priced M-E Typ 240 model. On the other side of the camera, the AIPP’s annual Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPAs) have been run and won, with Tasmanian Matt Palmer collecting the big prize.
