Dubbed ‘DeepPRIME’, the software has, in essence, learned what makes for quality in a RAW image le and applies it to compensate for the drawbacks of smaller sensors and older-generation cameras. A powerful tool, it simultaneously reduces digital noise as it demosaics the image, resulting in no loss of colour detail, the creation of smooth transitions and – perhaps the most signi cant improvement – a gain of two ISO quality steps (which is like shooting all your ISO 1600 shots at ISO 400). Further upgrades include an easy-to-personalise ‘Smart Work ow’ setup, an editing function dubbed ‘Advanced History’, and the ability to add a personal photo signature to images.
