Ilford’s Galerie Washi-Tesuki Eichizen 110 is a matte fine-art paper with a traditional handmade Japanese Washi base and a fine textured surface. The base – produced exclusively for Ilford – is manufactured using a traditional Japanese techniques and comprises 60% hemp and 40% mulberry for strength. The Washi base is made in the Echizen area of Japan which is famous for the production of traditional Japanese paper with a history spanning over 1,500 years in paper production. This paper has a weight of 110 gsm and a unique handmade textured surface. It is an acid-free media with no added optical brighteners, so it is particularly suited to fine-art photographic reproduction.
