GET OUT

This horror-thriller thoroughly deserved its Oscar, and maybe should have picked up more. When a young black guy visits his white girlfriend’s family for the first time, it’s clear that things are a little off. And then things are a lot off. It’s brilliantly written, and plays with your expectations expertly.
