GAMER-FRIENDLY, BUT LAGGING

Plantronics has pedigree, so this should deliver, right? Wireless strength is commendable, angular gamer design is on point (with an onboard team chat/game audio mixer if you’re using it on the PS4) and some concession has been made to comfort. But not enough. The self-adjusting headband, à la the Arctis line, doesn’t distribute the weight as well as its rival, and the mesh-covered cups are tight. The sound is also a letdown: while there’s a good rumble, it’s hollow, and the mic is lacking.
