Guar­ino gains SeaRoad COO role

in­dus­try vet­eran Pa­trick Guar­ino, left, is the new chief op­er­at­ing of­fi­cer at Tas­ma­nian mul­ti­modal trans­port firm SeaRoad. The com­pany notes Guar­ino be­gan his 35-year ca­reer with Aus­tralian Na­tional Line (ANL) be­fore mov­ing to the newly es­tab­lished TT-Line in a suc­ces­sion of roles, rang­ing from that of purser on the orig­i­nal ferry, Abel Tas­man, to gen­eral man­ager of freight ser­vices and op­er­a­tions, and ul­ti­mately chief op­er­at­ing of­fi­cer.

“Pat knows Bass Strait in­side out and adds a wealth of knowl­edge and un­der­stand­ing about meet­ing Tas­ma­nia’s trans­port re­quire­ments,” SeaRoad ex­ec­u­tive chair­man Chas Kelly says.

“Pat has been do­ing some busi­ness devel­op­ment work for us and I am very pleased he has ac­cepted the Board’s in­vi­ta­tion to take on this lead­er­ship role.
