NEW BREWS AND EATS

It can be hard work relaxing in Noosa, shopping and exploring the beautiful nature all around and there are some amazing new places to quench your thirst and refuel. New boutique brewhouses have recently opened in the hinterland towns of Cooroy, Eumundi and Cooran – just find a driver to take you on a Noosa Country brewery drive and visit all three!

Eumundi Brewery (pictured) is back at the Imperial Hotel with seasonal brews and tasting tours – perfect for a warm Queensland afternoon in the beer garden. Bonsai Brewhouse in an historic sawmill building in Cooran has fantastic brews and delicious food from Asian Street Food, and Copperhead Restaurant and Brewery in Cooroy has new beers from Sunshine Coast micro-breweries. Also opening in Noosaville is Land & Sea Brewery who already have their own Coastie Common Lager available at local venues including El Capitano, Moto Bar, Village Bicycle, Carve Deli in Peregian Beach and Little Sister. Find a new favourite place to eat in Noosa with new Mexican, seafood, Italian, Asian, cool bars and more. HongSa Bar is new at Spirit House Restaurant in Yandina, near the Noosa hinterland, with shared Thai-style snacks, a stunning wall of 600 Buddhas, and a new private dining room. Noosa Junction, just over the hill from Hastings Street, is a world of new eats. Bombetta, is an Italian eatery and bar with snacks, antipasti, pizza and more or, if you like chords with your coffee, there’s something completely different at Walton Guitars & Coffee with guitar-making courses, a guitar gallery and they sell custom-made guitars. Paradise Arcade has Mexican-California­n-inspired tacos and tostadas, cocktails, a cool outdoor space and a giant Frida Kahlo mural. Chef, TV host and fisherman, Phippsy has just opened ZZ Taps, a tapas bar with share seafood plates, locally caught fish, cocktails and sunset bubbles, and Little Sister has cold beer, fruity cocktails, juicy burgers, live music, good vibes and more. Sunshine Beach, just around the headland from Noosa Heads, is a street of funky cafes, bars and restaurant­s including the new Sum Yung Guys from MasterChef finalist Matt Sinclair and mates, with seriously tasty share-style Asian plates and amazing cocktails. New Italian restaurant, Cinque Terre Ristorante & Pizzeria also runs pizzamakin­g classes with Chef Antonio, while Wild Fish seafood restaurant on the deck in the heart of Sunshine Beach has fresh local seafood, tapas, desserts, wines and craft beers. In the hinterland town of Eumundi, try bush tucker food and modern Australian cuisine featuring native Australian ingredient­s at the Deadly Espresso Café. For the sweet tooth, see fresh candy being made in-store at the new Candy Addictions in Bay Village Shopping Centre, Hastings Street.
