SOUTH COAST

Land and sea collide, merging in a swirling storm of colour like inks dropped into water. They set out to chart Australia’s vast and varied coastline, an epic 31-day journey by plane. “I knew that only a privileged few had explored Australia’s breathtaking coastline

to any significant degree from the air,” says Hewitt. “So, I got to wondering what an adventure it would be to experience all of it in one go; to capture and reveal its magical, ever-changing beauty.” The results were on display at the recent Sydney exhibition Girt by Sea, which will appear in capital cities throughout Australia over the next 12 months.
