Sydney, get ready to scream at the new Luna Park
With NINE NEW RIDES, an extensive renovation and a cavalcade of old favourites, LUNA PARK has taken the family FUN PARK on the iconic Sydney Harbour “to the NEXT LEVEL”.
AS ICONIC AS THE Sydney Harbour Bridge and as well-known as the Opera House, Sydney’s Luna Park has brought fun and thrills to generations of families who have crossed under the mischievous smiling face and into one of the city’s most treasured amusement grounds.
Today, an extensive renovation and nine new rides have taken Luna Park to the next level, with more rides, more excitement, and unlimited next-level fun.
NEXT-LEVEL THRILLS
Undertaking one of the biggest Amusement Park upgrades in the world in early 2021, thrill-seekers will see their heart rate soar on the SLEDGEHAMMER, a 360-degree stomach-churner, as well as three additional new custom roller coasters. This includes the BOOMERANG, Australia’s first G-rated, G-force coaster, and the NIPPER, a LITTLE great introduction to the roller-coaster experience for kids. Come December, the park will debut the world’s THE BIG DIPPER, first single launch rail coaster and Australia’s tallest and fastest multi-launch coaster.
THE FAMILY THAT RIDES TOGETHER…
The park has taken a family-focused approach when designing the five remaining new attractions, allowing the littlest members of the family their first thrills with parents by their side. This includes the a gentle, rotating ride in FREAKY FROGS, giant coloured amphibians, or CLOUD NINE where families rise and fall in bright, hot-air balloons. BUG, a new, seven-metre-high THE Ferris wheel for kids, also fits adults.
If the kids are feeling confident, the SILLY SUB takes the whole family for a shaky ride into the sky. Picking up the pace, there’s also the
LIGHTHOUSE, the beginner’s version LOOPY of the thrill-seeker favourite, HAIR RAISER.
THE GAME PLAN
Along with new rides, there is new tech. Visitors can log rides on the LUNA PLAY PLATFORM, which allows guests to compete on a global or private leader board to see if their fun is as next level as others in the park (and let parents know how many roller-coaster rides they survived). The new platform also includes 3D maps, show times, food options, and also allows visitors to download their ride photos. Luna Play Platform hosts Australia’s first Amusement Park loyalty program, LUNA PERKS. Every time users spend, they unlock special offers like snacks, toys and exclusive VIP experiences. With new rides, a family focus and fantastic rewards for return visitors, Sydney’s harbourside Luna Park offers next-level fun every Aussie family needs to experience.
