Toast of the town

The largest survey of the work of one of Australia’s foremost fashion and social photographers, Robert Rosen: Glitterati (until 19 June 2022) is one of five new exhibitions being presented at the Powerhouse and forms part of the Sydney museum’s renewed focus on fashion and design. Portrait photographer Robert Rosen attended glittering gigs, parties, fashion events and nightclubs across Australia, London and Europe over the space of four decades. During that time, his discreet approach earned him the respect of subjects including iconic designers such as Yves Saint Laurent and Zandra Rhodes and an eclectic mix of celebrities ranging from model Linda Evangelista and Paul and Linda McCartney.This exhibition documents those heady days by curating images from his expansive back catalogue. maas.museum
