A family affair

-

Eight family-owned Barossa winemakers – John Duval Wines, Spinifex Wines, Purple Hands Wines, Lienert Vineyards, Chaffey Bros. Wine Co., Schwarz Wine Co., Hobbs of Barossa Ranges, Sons of Eden – have come together to create South Australia’s latest culinary hotspot: Artisans of Barossa. The food and wine destination, located in the heart of the internationally renowned wine region in Tanunda, will host formal and casual tasting experiences designed to promote the art of small-batch Barossa winemaking. “Being able to showcase our wines in our own home, alongside exceptional food in a beautiful setting, is something we’ve been working on for nearly five years,” says chief operating officer Howard Duncan. “Key experiences will include wine tastings, a range of dining options [including Essen helmed by Ryan Edwards, ex-Appellation at The Louise], private dining options, a Barossa store called Delikatessen and great coffee [from Adelaide roaster Hark Coffee].” artisansofbarossa.com
