Have say on aged care plan
PLANS to develop an integrated aged care facility in Wattle Grove are progressing after the City of Kalamunda received a development application plan for the proposed development at Lot 500 Gavour Road.
The application seeks to provide development guidance for the future establishment of an aged care facility and retirement village.
Since 2004, landowner and aged care developer Ross Leighton has sought to have the land rezoned from special rural to special use to enable the development of the integrated aged care facility.
In June 2017, Planning and Lands Minister Rita Saffioti approved a planning scheme amendment to allow for an integrated aged care facility to be built at the site which is an old polo ground.
Public submissions on the development application close on July 15.
The City will hold a community information meeting on July 5 at the City’s administration centre function room between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.
