Drug mis­use help avail­able

HOLYOAKE coun­selling and sup­port ser­vices for peo­ple with al­co­hol and drug is­sues are now avail­able in Mundar­ing and El­len­brook. The free out­reach ser­vice funded by WA Pri­mary Health Al­liance to July 2019 is of­fered at Mundar­ing GP Su­per Clinic and Ellen Stir­ling Med­i­cal Cen­tre. A Holyoake coun­sel­lor will be avail­able up to two days a week in Mundar­ing and up to three days in El­len­brook. Holyoake man­ages the North East Metro Com­mu­nity Al­co­hol and Drug Ser­vice to pro­vide the in­di­vid­ual, group and fam­ily ser­vice in Mid­land. Holyoake chief ex­ec­u­tive Angie Paske­vi­cius urged peo­ple af­fected by ad­dic­tive al­co­hol and drug mis­use to seek help. “I en­cour­age all those who are af­fected by al­co­hol and other drugs di­rectly or in­di­rectly to make the most of our lo­cally­based ser­vice,” she said.
