Family transport business fails

Balonne Beacon - - NEWS -

CHINCHILLA resident Selina Erb, a former partner of Erb Brothers Transport, has described the company’s liquidation as “disappointing”.

“A lot of people have been hurt by this,” she said.

“Erb Brothers Transport was such big company in Chinchilla, it was sad to see it go.”

Mrs Erb and her husband, Michael, are former partners of Erb Brothers Transport, which went into liquidation earlier last month.

The couple left the company in May 2014, after being bought out by Michael’s brother, Warren, and his wife BJ.

“To this day, we are one of the creditors Erb Brothers Transport owes money to,” Selina Erb said.

The Chinchilla company owes creditors more than $3 million and has left 21 employees without jobs.
