Budget’s packed with fees

Balonne Beacon - - NEWS | WELCOME -

THIS year’s State Budget, Jackie Trad’s first as Treasurer, was a budget jam-packed with taxes and debt.

Labor’s five new taxes and fees will rip a total of $2.25 billion out of Queenslanders’ pockets – that’s $450 every Queenslander will give to the government because of Trad’s tax grabs.

That’s $450 that could be going towards everyday expenses like groceries, soaring power bills or petrol for the car.

Astonishingly, Labor is still careering Queensland towards an $83 billion debt bill that our kids will have to pay back.

So not only will Queenslanders be paying more taxes now, they’ll also be forced to pay off more and more debt.

The LNP has an economic plan to ensure that Queensland’s best days are ahead of us.

We will tackle sky-rocketing electricity and fuel costs, fix our public health system, deliver better education for our kids and make it easier to do business and create more local jobs.

The LNP’s economic plan will deliver on the issues that Queenslanders need and expect without slapping every Queenslander with a $450 bill. — Tim Mander LNP Deputy Leader and Shadow Treasurer
