DUST off your fishing gear because this weekend is the annual St George Fishing and Restocking Club Annual Fishing Competition. Nominations will be taken from 1pm tomorrow at St George Showgrounds. There will be classes for adults and juniors, with cash prizes up for grabs and raffles.

THE regular Saturday morning parkrun will start from the boat ramp near Jack Taylor Weir in St George from 6.30am. Run, jog or walk 5km for fun and fitness, and to meet new friends.

Charity golf day
ON SUNDAY, Dirranbandi Golf Club will hold its Pink Day ‘Tee Off For a Cause’ Fundraiser – an 18-hole ambrose to raise funds for the St George branch of the Breast and Prostate Cancer Association. Names must be in by 9am and there will be a draw for partners. Lots of prizes and the $25 entry fee includes meals.

St George Singers
SINGING is known to make you feel better and lift your spirits, so why not head down to the St George Singers’ practice next Wednesday at St Patrick’s Hall in Balonne St,
St George, from 7pm. Everyone is welcome, whether you can sing or not! A friendly group of people who enjoy a social cuppa at half time.
