Fish­ing com­pe­ti­tion

DUST off your fish­ing gear be­cause this week­end is the an­nual St Ge­orge Fish­ing and Re­stock­ing Club An­nual Fish­ing Com­pe­ti­tion. Nom­i­na­tions will be taken from 1pm to­mor­row at St Ge­orge Show­grounds. There will be classes for adults and ju­niors, with cash prizes up for grabs and raf­fles.

WHEN: To­mor­row from 1pm.

Parkrun fun

THE reg­u­lar Satur­day morn­ing parkrun will start from the boat ramp near Jack Tay­lor Weir in St Ge­orge from 6.30am. Run, jog or walk 5km for fun and fit­ness, and to meet new friends.

WHEN: Satur­day from 6.30am.

Paint work­shop

A FU­SION Min­eral Paint Work­shop will be held from 10.30am on Satur­day at 350 Bun­do­ran Rd, St Ge­orge. The cost of $75 per per­son in­cludes paint, lunch and bev­er­ages. For more in­for­ma­tion, phone Ki­aha on 0423 397 363. WHERE: 350 Bun­do­ran Rd, St Ge­orge.

Char­ity golf day

ON SUN­DAY, Dir­ran­bandi Golf Club will hold its Pink Day ‘Tee Off For a Cause’ Fundraiser – an 18-hole am­brose to raise funds for the St Ge­orge branch of the Breast and Prostate Can­cer As­so­ci­a­tion. Names must be in by 9am and there will be a draw for part­ners. Lots of prizes and the $25 en­try fee in­cludes meals.

St Ge­orge Singers

SINGING is known to make you feel bet­ter and lift your spir­its, so why not head down to the St Ge­orge Singers’ prac­tice next Wed­nes­day at St Patrick’s Hall in Balonne St,

St Ge­orge, from 7pm. Ev­ery­one is wel­come, whether you can sing or not! A friendly group of peo­ple who en­joy a so­cial cuppa at half time.
