HISue Quinn’s feature on the risks of eating too much meat (Jan) was refreshing and informativ­e.

My wife and I decided, some months ago, to eat far less meat and, as a result, we feel healthier. One of the benefts is helping us to keep slim, a key issue as we get older. As Sue suggested, we regularly beef up meals with vegetables like mushrooms and aubergines, as well as beans and lentils.
