GIN Canaïma gin

This unique gin is made from botanicals, sustainably sourced from the Amazon rainforest. These include seje and acai berry, native fruits such as copoazu, uva de palma and túpiro, and more traditional botanicals like grapefruit, passion fruit and the all-important juniper. The result is an unusual gin that really does taste of the forest – earthy, woody, and almost musky, accentuated with sharp, fresh grapefruit notes. Try with grapefruit soda, or a tonic water and a slice of grapefruit. Ten per cent of the profit from each bottle goes towards reforestation of the Amazon and preserving the culture of the indigenous people. 47% ABV (70cl), £37.45, thewhiskyexchange.com
