Shivi Ramoutar shares a veggie feast to celebrate mum

In theory, Mother’s Day should be about sitting on your throne, feet up, being pampered (being fed grapes etc). In reality though, the whole family piles into the kitchen, helping to create (and sometimes hindering) a feast. There is mess, laughter and love, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This lovely vegetarian feasting menu is something for the whole family to dig into; familiar comfort recipes, but all with little exciting twists. There are lots of little errands that kids can get involved with, too, and without much hassle at all. It’s a beautiful feast to celebrate Mum. Shivi

This is familiar, but with a sticky-sweet, spiced and tangy twist, and a delicious way to fill the family with greens
