BBC Good Food Magazine
I’ve been absolutely overjoyed with the changes you’ve made as a result of Black Lives Matter. Getting the real recipes by people who have not only visited the place of origin of a dish but actually grown up in a family where it’s eaten is just wonderful.
BLM has also made me aware of how white chefs’ adaptations of world recipes means that chefs of other backgrounds get less exposure in food magazines or on TV, meaning they get fewer customers to their restaurants and have a harder time getting cookbooks published and sold. I’m so happy you’ve decided to do something about that, but more importantly, you’re contributing to a better and fairer world.
