Good Food

Welcome to May

And, just like that, the sun’s out! The kitchen windows are wide open, veg aisles and boxes are suddenly more interesting, and we can finally get out in the fresh air. It feels like a good opportunity to give the magazine a spring clean, so we have a new section, Cook’s Calendar, full of suggestions for easy, satisfying projects this month (p11). Food director Cassie Best has made it simple to plan meals using the best of the season, with plenty of healthy, great-value choices that give you more precious time to enjoy the warmer weather over the bank holidays (p18).

We’re always striving to develop recipes that will become your new favourites, of course, but BBC Good Food is more than just a cooking resource. Thank you to everyone who has been in touch to say they’re enjoying what our new features and columnists have to offer. We want to make sure you find plenty of new and inspiring ideas in the magazine each month, and I’m always delighted to receive your feedback and suggestions.
