Sunshine in a glass
Try new white wines with a case exclusively curated for the BBC Good Food Wine Club
A chilled glass of white in your hand and summer sunshine on your face is absolute bliss – especially if the wine you’re pouring is one of the gorgeous selections in this special showcase.
From France, there’s the gold-medal-winning Carmelle
Sauvignon Blanc, which is bright and citrussy, with delicate pear and apple fruit. Bergerac’s Guyendac also provides a zingy citrus hit that’s balanced with pineapple notes, and ends with a creamy finish.
Next is the best-selling Queen Bee Viognier from South Africa’s Western Cape. It’s another award-winner, with mouth-watering stone fruits and sweet spice. There’s also rising star Kutjevo Graševina, from Croatia’s upcoming wine hotspot, Slavonia. Plus, Villa Broglia Gavi de Gavi
– it’s pure and fresh, with citrus, herbal and almond notes.
Finally, no white case would be complete without a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, and Nelson Bay delivers with punchy lime, tropical fruit and a mineral zip.
