If you’re cooking for two, you’ll often find yourself scaling down recipes or eating leftovers for days on the trot. Former Good Food editor Orlando Murrin has cleverly solved this problem with this book for two. His recipes are exciting but doable and, above all, comforting, with dishes like easy cheesy enchiladas and fudgy chocolate lava pudding. Cookbooks are rarely funny, but this one is – I love Orlando’s witty intros and cooking tips. Must-try recipe Paella in the oven (above)
